Food Pantry

Welcome
Our Daily Bread Food Pantry welcomes guests on
Saturdays from 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

The Pantry is located in the small Annex Building between the church and the ball fields at
1450 Winterberry Drive, Marco Island, FL 34145

During the COVID-19 crisis, Our Daily Bread Food Pantry has taken proactive measures to protect the health and well-being of our Guests and Volunteers as we remain committed to serve as an essential service to our community.  We are taking necessary precautions and following all CDC guidelines.

Key Changes to Operations:

Saturday Food Pantries: Until the crisis abates, we will operate using a “Drive In” distribution model. Guests will drive in, remain in their vehicles, and volunteers will bring food to cars and place it in the trunk. Please note: our building is closed to all Guests at this time.

Mobile Outreaches: Hours and locations remains the same. Guests will drive in, remain in their vehicles, and volunteers will bring food to cars and place it in the trunk.

Food Appointments: To meet increased calls for service, we have added extra days to our calendar. All times are staffed by Volunteers. Guests will drive to the 1450 Winterberry Drive location and remain in vehicles while food is placed in the car trunk.

Please call 239-259-5188  for an appointment.

HOW TO GET HELP

How the Pantry Works

How It Works
Using a Pantry box truck and pick-up truck, our Volunteers transport free food and buy additional food as needed from our Suppliers and Donors. Food is then weighed, dated, marked, stored, and eventually shelved or pre-packed into bags for our various outreaches. The food is distributed at the Food Pantry location every Saturday, via appointments Monday through Friday, and at weekly Friday Mobile Outreaches. Mobile Outreaches are done jointly with Al’s Pals, a local Volunteer organization headed by Allyson Richards.
Who Qualifies?
Anyone in need qualifies for food assistance. In order to go shopping at either our brick and mortar bi-weekly pantry or mobile pantry, guests are asked to bring a form of photo id.

On Pantry Day, guests are able to shop from shelves, freezers and refrigerators based on their family size and taste preferences.

Volunteer Shopper Assistants guide guests through the process and assist with transporting and loading groceries into guests’ vehicles.
